Each is dreamed up from our two hearts, passes through the hands of our small team, and lives on in your family as one of our greatest honors to help you make space for the worthwhile. Details from the stitching, printing, and zippers, to where and how our products are made, matter deeply to us. We expect a lot from our products and you can too, which is why we offer a lifetime guarantee on workmanship. If something isn't right with the manufacturing of your item, please let us know by emailing hello@gathre.com. We're a small team who wants to make it right.

*Please note that if a replacement is provided by us we can only cover the shipping fee for items within the 48 contiguous states. If outside of the 48 contiguous states we will kindly ask that you cover the shipping fee on the replaced item.

What is Bonded leather?

Bonded leather is a combination of wipeable synthetic material and genuine leather. Gathre’s bonded leather mats are beloved by many, because of the beauty and practicality of how these materials work together. The top is a layer of polyurethane, which makes it wipeable and water-resistant. The backside is a sturdy, textured leather material that works inside your home, and also in your backyard. Our bonded leather contains 72% PU leather and 28% genuine leather fibers.

What is on the underside of the mat?

The bottom side of the mat is a durable, textured leather material that can get wet as well as be cleaned. We like to think of it like the bottom of a shoe. It is understood it will be used, worn, and even get dirty.

Is there a way to get the wrinkles out?

Yes. Laying the mat out flat in the sun for an hour or so can help release wrinkles. You can also steam the underside of the mat until the wrinkles release. Do not iron.

Are the mats safe for my children?

Yes. All mats are California Prop 65 compliant and contain no lead or harmful chemicals.

What happens if I receive a damaged item?

That’s no good! Please contact us immediately as all damages must be reported within 48 hours upon receiving your order.

What is excluded from free shipping?

The following items are excluded from free shipping: All Floor Cushions, Poufs, Shape Pillows, all Playsets, Tumbling Mats, Padded Mats, Ottomans, and Storage Bins, Loungers, Home Mats, Caddys, Quilted Mats, Pinboard, and Balance Beam.

If I just ordered something and the price is now lower can I get a price match?

We do not offer price adjustments on any items (including shipping costs). Please reach out to us at hello@gathre.com if you have any further questions. 

What is the difference between a regular and double sided mat?

Our double sided vegan mats are made of just the synthetic “leather-like” material that is on the top of our regular mats. There is no suede leather backing on the double sided, therefore there is absolutely no animal materials in the mat.

How big are the mats? Are they heavy?

Mat measurements can be found on the product listing. Also, because of the nature of our cutting and sewing processes, there may be a slight size variance in mats. We promise that mats will be within a 5% variance of the size stated on the product listing*. Printed mats are especially at risk for a little bit of size variance. If your mat is more than 5% larger or smaller than the stated size on the product listing, please email hello@gathre.com.

How do I leave a review?

Leaving a review is as simple as finding the product you would like to review and scrolling down to the review section at the bottom of the page. From there select the "Write Review" button and fill out the form. You are welcome to leave as many review as you would like, but we will only be sending out one review discount code a year per customer. 

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes, we offer local pickup for local Utah residents! This option is available in the checkout. If you are unable to find this option, please send an email to hello@gathre.com with the subject line "LOCAL PICKUP" as soon as your order is placed. We do our best to respond as quickly as possible but we are a small team. If you reach out about a local pickup and your order is shipped before we can flag the order to our fulfillment team, we will not be responsible for the order being shipped.

What is Gathred?

Gathred is a perks program for our most loyal customers. As part of Gathred, you'll be the first to know about launches, restocks, events, and collaborations. You'll also enjoy early access to new products, as well as an annual birthday gift. 

How do I join?

All you have to do is create an account here (https://gathre.com/account/login). We'll ask for basic info like your name, email address, and birth date. Having an account also allows you to store your address and contact info for easier checkout!

How does early access work?

Once you're subscribed as a Gathred member, you'll receive an email either the day before or the morning of a product launch with an early access code. You'll use this code on our website to access the collection before anyone else. Typically we only give an hour of early access, so be sure to use your code ASAP! 

How do I get my birthday gift?

Every Gathred member will be sent the birthday gift as long as they have entered their birthday information on their account as well as opted into receiving our marketing emails.

On the first of each month, we send out an automated email to anyone who was signed up before that date (the 1st of the month) with their birthday code inside. If you signed up after that date, you will not be sent an automated email. This is something we're working on fixing, but for now, if you sign up late, please just send an email to hello@gathre.com and we will get you a code! If you did sign up before the 1st and for some reason haven't gotten your code, please reach out so we can help. 

The birthday gift is good for $25 off of an order of $50 or more and cannot be extended outside of the month it was issued. 

Tablecloths

What are your Tablecloths made of?

Just like our regular mats, our Tablecloths are made from bonded leather, which is a combination of a wipeable synthetic material and genuine leather.

What size Tablecloth do I need?

The first step to getting the size right is, naturally, measuring your table. Then add whatever drop length you want to the measurements of each side of the table.

The drop on a tablecloth is typically anywhere between 8 inches and 16 inches, with a longer drop normally used for more formal occasions. (Think white linen tablecloths and waiters in tuxedos.) For an everyday kitchen table situation, err on the side of a shorter drop, somewhere around 6-10 inches.

What should I not use on my Tablecloth?

Be cautious of using clamping high chairs on Gathre tablecloths as the pressure can leave permanent indents on Gathre products. 

Do your Tablecloths stain?

The beauty of our Tablecloths is that, unlike a linen tablecloth, instead of having to wash your tablecloth after each use with our products you can simply wipe away messes and you're good to go.However, just as a linen tablecloth or even plastic tupperware can stain when used with highly pigmented foods/beverages/etc. our tablecloths can stain as well.

Can I place hot pots on on my Tablecloth?

We always suggest using a hot pad underneath hot pots and pans as the heat can damage your tablecloth.

Cleaning + Mat Care

Is there anything I shouldn’t use on my mat?

Avoid acrylic or oil paints. Take care that you do not use markers or ball point pens directly on the mat. And be mindful with scissors and other sharp object as they may cut the mat. Avoid using watercolors on printed mats as they are more sensitive to them. Some sunscreens can also stain the mat, particularly mineral sunscreen. Be sure to take caution when using highly pigmented items on your mat including food and beverages as we cannot be held responsible for damage done after the mat has been used.

How do I clean the mat?

Spot treat on the top and bottom sides of the mat. Using a paper towel or wet rag, clean off the area until the mess is gone. Always allow the mat to dry completely before putting it away to prevent any unwanted mold. Make sure to use caution at all times on the mats, as we cannot be held responsible for damage done after the mat has been used.

Can I wash the mat?

Do not machine wash. Follow the care instructions to clean.

Mat Cleaning Tips

Bottom:

We like to think of it like the bottom of a shoe. It is understood it will be used, worn, and even get dirty. The top side is what we play on and see. For muddy, food chunks, or messy areas on the back, you can spot treat it just like the top. Use a soapy wet rag to clean specific areas. It's a sturdy material and can handle cleaning.

Top:

Food and dirt marks: We recommend a simple product like Mrs Meyers cleaning spray (or any other brand equivalent). Spray the mat down, and scrub with a wet washcloth. With dried-on or sticky foods, you may have to scrape or scrub pretty hard. Clorox wipes are great for sanitizing.Stubborn stains: Baby oil is our go-to for a magic cleaning. Rubbing alcohol may also help with certain stains, although we do not recommend using alcohol on printed mats (it can take off the ink). Greasy stains/shiny marks: Get a sponge sudsy with dish soap and scrub. Then, wipe it clean with a wet washcloth. 

General Mat Care:

Clean the mat promptly after use with wet rag and soapy water. Some highly pigmented foods, such as koolaid, wine, spaghetti sauce, etc. may stain your mat. Avoid acrylic paints, markers, and pens and scissors. We are not responsible for ink stains or cuts.Do not machine wash or iron.Place in warm sun for an hour or so to remove wrinkles. We also recommend using a hand steamer on the back of the mat to get stubborn wrinkles out.Make sure mat is 100% completely dry before folding to store. We are not responsible for moldy mats.

Bib Cleaning Tips

You can flip your bib pocket inside out for a bit of extra space! If you submerge your bib while cleaning we recommend microwaving your bib for 30 seconds afterwards to kill any bacteria that may remain. 

Payment + Shipping

Local Pickup

Local pickup orders are subject to standard processing times. When your order is ready for pickup at our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email notifying that your order has "shipped.” Once you receive the shipping confirmation email, please reach out to us at hello@gathre.com with the subject “Local Pickup” to schedule your pickup time. Local pickup orders need to be picked up within one week (7 days) of receiving the shipping confirmation email, otherwise orders will be canceled.

What is Shipping Protection?

Shipping Protection is provided by a 3rd party company that is offered to all of our customers at a low cost. It covers replacement of lost or stolen orders since we as a company are not responsible for items once they leave our warehouse.

What items are excluded from free shipping?

Another easy way to tell what is excluded from free shipping is by checking the product listing. If it says "This item does not qualify for free shipping" then that item is excluded from free shipping and does not count towards the $175 subtotal for the other items in your order.

I think my order is lost or stolen, what do I do?

Gathre is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If you think your package is lost or stolen please contact the shipping carrier or your local post office (refer to your tracking number to determine which delivery service to contact). If you purchased shipping protection, you can also reach out to us at hello@gathre.com for further assistance.

Can I stack two discount codes at the same when making a purchase?

No. Our site does not allow for two codes to be used together at the same time for a purchase. We recommend that you choose the code that saves you the most money on your purchase.

How soon will my order ship out?

Shipping times vary based on the size + weight of the item(s) you have purchased, the time of year, as well as the shipping method selected at checkout. If your items are pre-order items it will be stated on the product listing page. Because orders are processed so quickly we are unable to edit, add to, or change orders once they are placed. Please double check your shipping address and cart contents before checking out.

How long does normal shipping take before it will arrive?

Shipping times vary based on the size + weight of the item(s) you have purchased, the time of year, as well as the shipping method selected at checkout. Orders are shipped from Utah, so if you are more than 1,000 miles away from Utah your order will most likely take at least 5 business days to ship. Please note that Gathre is not responsible for courier delays.

How long does international shipping take before it will arrive?

After the order has processed, international shipping will take anywhere from 2-7 weeks to arrive to its destination. Please note that Gathre is not responsible for courier delays.

Can I expedite shipping on my order?

Yes, you can expedite your order by selecting the expediting shipping option in the checkout portion of your order. Please note that expedited shipping refers to the estimated delivery time frame after the order has processed. All orders are subject to the current processing time listed on the product listing page.

What happens if I put in the wrong shipping address?

Contact us immediately if something is amiss with your order. Since orders are processed so quickly, we have a very narrow window to edit or change orders once they are placed. Please double check your shipping address and cart contents before checking out.

Where can I find my tracking information?

You can find your tracking information in the shipping confirmation email sent after your order has been processed. You can also register with gathre.com and track your package by logging in.

Can I cancel my order?

We do our best to respond to each message as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel before the order ships. Once you receive a shipping confirmation email, we are unable to cancel or stop a package from shipping. You will need to return the package using our returns portal.

Returns + Exchanges

Do I have the option of an exchange instead of a return?

We are able to process exchanges only if re:do has been added at checkout. If re:do was not added, we are unable to process exchanges.If re:do was not added and you would like to exchange a product, please return the original item(s) for a refund and place a new order, please keep in mind that any shipping fees in this case will need to be covered by you. We are not able to retroactively add re:do once the order has been processed.

Can I return or exchange my mat if it was not what I was expecting?

Yes, we happily accept returns and exchanges for unused items from 60 days of purchase within the United States. Please see our Exchanges + Returns page HERE for more information.

Can I return a large home item if it was not what I was expecting?

Yes, we accept unused Large home items as returns, however customers will be responsible for any additional shipping costs that may arise when returning if re:do is not added at checkout. We are not able to retroactively add re:do once the order has been processed.

Can I issue a return on a gift?

Yes, you definitely can issue a gift return! Please just visit our return portal! Please keep in mind that the Return Portal will currently notify the sender of this return or exchange and we are unable to prevent that notification from being sent, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to have this change in the near future. Please also note, we only offer exchanges or shop credit for returns.
