Guesting + Hosting the Holidays

cantata

We’ve all experienced low-level anxiety about how to make our holiday gathering special (but keep it sane, too) — as well as some trepidation about what to bring to others’ parties that won’t be the third of its kind (yet another bottle of wine… yawn). So we’ve rounded up some go-to greats from our team here at Gathre HQ to inspire you and make the season just a bit easier on merrymakers.

WHAT TO MAKE (WHEN YOU'RE A HOST)

Sarah: (Fancy) pasta
Cassie: Warm “crack” dip
Hadley: Pork ragu
Kati: Dinner rolls
Lydia: A beautiful salad
Mare: Banana bars
Murphy: Lots of different appetizers
Eliesa: Cranberry salsa with crackers + cream cheese
Jess: Charcuterie board

WHAT TO MAKE (WHEN YOU'RE A GUEST)

Sarah: Creamy fresh fruit salad
Cassie: Chocolate chip cookies
Hadley: Gingerbread cake
Kati: Charcuterie board
Lydia: Homemade salsa + chips
Mare: Salad with homemade ranch dressing
Murphy: Chocolate truffles
Eliesa: A wreath or a warm loaf of homemade bread
Jess: Bourbon pumpkin cheesecake

REASONS WE LOVE GATHRE FOR GATHERINGS

Gathre products always have functionality top of mind, right up there with beauty — which makes them perfect for entertaining. When hosting, we can spend our time focusing on connecting with those we love, instead of stressing about spills. There’s no such thing as a “kiddie table” (unless we want there to be!), because guests of every age are welcome and comfortable in the dining room. We love the mix of textures when layering linen napkins on our leather Tablecloths — it’s so good! And Floor Cushions make comfy extra seating for a crowd, especially when serving fondue or appetizers at the coffee table.

We hope these in-house tips bring you calm and confidence this season and give you freedom to enjoy yourself. Happy, Happy Holidays, friends!
