The drop on a tablecloth is typically anywhere between 8 inches and 16 inches, with a longer drop normally used for more formal occasions. For an everyday kitchen table situation, err on the side of a shorter drop, somewhere around 6-10 inches.

Party tablecloth
Perfect for a party! Frosting, juice, smushed fruit, barbecue sauce all wiped off easily without any harsh chemicals, scrubbing, or staining! It stayed in place nicely also, unlike plastic or cloth ones. We also use this as a picnic mat outside, and the dirt wipes right off the bottom.
Stains easily, do not recommend
As several other reviews stated, this stains easily and is not easy to use with young children who frequently spill things, etc. Some spills can be wiped clean but any spill that is medium-dark in color leaves a stain even when it is wiped immediately after. So disappointing because several influencers recommended this and I had high expectations. Return policy isn’t great either so I’m unfortunately stuck with this expensive tablecloth that isn’t living up to what’s advertised.

Love this tablecloth! My kids are messy eater and we love that we can just easily wipe things up! It is pricey but the sales they have are awesome and make these an easy decision!
