One good thing to come about in a year of global pandemic is a more concrete, universal appreciation for how hard teachers work to educate and inspire students. This job is incredibly challenging(!) and very important(!), and we give mad props to those who do it, and do it well — day after day, year after year — because of their love of learning and their love of our children. We thank you from the very bottom of our extremely grateful hearts.
Part of our new, expanded respect comes from trying to do this job ourselves over the last year, and learning through experience that professional educators and serious homeschoolers put our fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants efforts to shame. More than ever before, we are entirely certain that teachers deserve our profound thanks for their tireless contributions to the future of our individual children and the world at large.

So, at the end of this school year, show your appreciation to the teachers who’ve so excellently educated your children under the extreme duress of the last year and a half. Gift them some educational tools that just so happen to be beautiful and durable — proving that their efforts to influence are lasting and meaningful, that their work has enduring efficacy, that we recognize the distinction with which they serve.
And to teachers, both at school and at home, we say: THANK YOU.
