Halloween is a childhood event so magical and evocative as to stick in memory for decades to come. We remember the year everything went wrong and we ended up in a bathrobe, slippers, and showercap (hey, not a bad Mom Hack, come to think of it!) and the year our costume dreams came true. We recall the “good candy” houses... and which houses handed out disappointment in the form of pencils or toothbrushes. This is the stuff of childhood.
But we’re adults now, and we have the added interest and pleasure of decorating our homes and parties in a seasonal (but not scary) style that brings the peeps together for fun and memory-making.
