All About Mats

Whether you’ve been with us for years and years or consider yourself new around here — let’s reintroduce you to Gathre’s bread and butter: our leather mats.

From the start, our mission was simple: to make space for the worthwhile. Our founders, Jess and Mare, were best friends and new moms hoping to bridge the gap between living with intention and the (inevitable) busyness of everyday life. They realized that to do that, they’d first need to clear out a little space.

That’s the vision behind and purpose of our original Gathre mat. Yes, it provides a literal space to gather with kids — but it also helps create a moment. A chance to slow and stop and be together. Proving beautiful things can be functional too… Jess and Mare knew they had stumbled upon something special.

A SIZE FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE

We’ve got one for every reason to gather: Micro, Micro+, Mini, Mini+, Midi, Midi+, and Maxi. Because our mats are all-purpose, it can be tough to specify exactly what each size is used for. Here’s a helpful guide, so you can get to know each one.

Psst, if there’s a plus sign next to it, that means its width has been extended, so it’s more rectangular in shape instead of square.
