The drop on a tablecloth is typically anywhere between 8 inches and 16 inches, with a longer drop normally used for more formal occasions. For an everyday kitchen table situation, err on the side of a shorter drop, somewhere around 6-10 inches.

Ever since our first run of sample mats we have been grabbing our mats off the floor to drape over the table for a craft or a messy cooking scene.

Eventually we realized A) maybe not the most sanitary and B) duh, tablecloths! We should probably make those. We did and they are one of the most used Gathre items in our home, elevating dinnertime, and lessening our laundry loads.

P.S. Got a square or circular table that doesn't fit under our tablecloths? Try a Maxi Square or Maxi Circle mat! It can work just as great.

I have owned many Gathre products over the years and I don’t know why it took me so long to get a tablecloth because it is my absolute favorite. We jumped into homeschooling again this year and I knew I needed to do something to make our dining room/ school room more functional. I hate setting something down on our table only to find crumbs or something sticky underneath and since we are using our table for meals and schoolwork there are ALWAYS messes. Now with this lovely, soft tablecloth I can just quickly wipe down the messes without having to strip the table and launder anything. I keep a little water spray bottle by the table to spritz and wipe away anything sticky or wet. It has made my life so much easier and as a mom of 5, I will take all the help I can get. I wanted to get it in Raven but it was sold out so I went with Isle and it is a nice airy blue that is neutral enough to not look too feminine. I 100% recommend this product.
